Membrane Switch Panels for Instrumentation PDF Print E-mail

Membrane switches are the perfect compliment for all types of instrumentation devices. These devices balance, weigh, perform density calculations, and perform nutrition analysis. In the medical field, membrane switches are used for diagnostics, bedside controls, sterilization devices, bed sensor alarms, lasers, defibrillators and diabetes control. Medical membrane keypads are typically designed with stainless steel domes for a tactile response or a polyester domes for a different feel. Many customers design for specific demanding applications where durability and anti-bacterial properties are preferred. Pannam now manufactures and designs membrane switches using a textured polyester overlay film incorporating Microban® antimicrobial product protection into the texture. This film has been extensively tested and proven to inhibit the growth of a wide range of mold, bacteria and mildew that can cause odors, stains and degradation of the membrane switch surface.
